Microsoft Entourage – What a piece of shit!

So today I had the pleasure (not) of working on a MAC.
I had to export mail from Entourage which is essentially Outlook for Mac… You’d figure this would be a simple process right? Export to a file and then import it to the other application?
Well you’d be wrong.
What a fucking piece of shit; you can export to a file that is ONLY compatible with entourage thus completely fucking you in the ass, you can also drag out individual messages if you wish which are (you guessed it) completely incompatible with anything other than entourage!
The only way to easily export a large mailbox is to setup an IMAP server, transfer all the mail over and then re-download it on outlook/another mail application on a Windows PC.
It just seems that program made by Apple or for an Apple make it their mission to make it so hard for you to migrate to another application or operating system thus forcing you to continue buying their overpriced under performing pieces of shit.
It’s the same with most apple applications; garageband is a classic example.
Ok, So I know now that I should have bought a PC in the first place, I bought a Mac because it looked great, but after the screen virtually split itself in half I was left with the only option of placing it on the floor and use an extension monitor, then I bought a logitech cordless mouse and keyboard so the thrill of having something nice to look at on my desk has become somewhat unjustified.
Yes I am the delinquent responsible for the stress caused to the proprietor of this blog as I slowly make the return back to PC.
I promise never to make the same or similar mistake again.. much to the relief of my IT consultant. I will however say one good thing about MAC.. I did enjoy Garage band regardless of the fact that once you spend 1000’s of hours creating a musical masterpiece it’s virtually trapped in GB forever, but it did give me the know how to operate more difficult PC based music creating programs.
So I sit here with tail between my legs and promise never to make a bad decision again.
I can’t promise my mechanic the same loyalty tho, I just bought a Jeep.
Oh well, once a fool always a fool.. It looks good but! It’s a virtual mac on 4 wheels!
Reminds me of when I contacted Apple because I paid for my hotmail account so I could use it on my iPhone and was still unable to see my folders.
Response: Sorry, the iPhone and any Windows Live account are not compatible. Maybe try a different account?

Get over it mate – you know Mac’s are only there for people who hate Microsoft and can’t work Linux. If people didn’t have problem with computers you wouldn’t have a job.
Just so you know Entourage is made by Microsoft…..they have a good reason to make a mac look rubbish…use mac mail on a mac not a Microsoft product.
